About Us
Established as a group practice in 2022, Heart Stone Counseling serves people aged 10 and up who reside in the State of Maine. We specialize in working with people who have experienced loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, addiction, and academic or performance pressure. Whenever possible, we utilize modalities that incorporate the mind-body continuum and “bottom-up” and non-pathologizing approaches. We believe healing can be a creative process; growth and change is possible for everyone.

You
LCPC, LCSW, LMFT, LCSW-cc, LCPC-c, LMFT-c Licensure in the state of Maine that is up to-date and maintained for the duration of employment.
Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work
Comfort using/ learning EHR, clear communication skills, friendly and professional demeanor, desire for personal and professional development, good time management and efficient work habits. Ability to communicate your thought process when it comes to treatment approach, clinical decision making. Experience and/or interest in being trained in Acceptance Commitment Therapy, IFS, trauma-informed, body-based, “bottom-up” modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, Somatic Experiencing etc. Consideration to self-care that maintains physical and emotional capacity to be present with the suffering of others.
