Hi, I’m Jessie. (she/her)

My path to becoming a therapist didn’t follow a straight or tidy line. I came to this work through lived experience and a growing understanding of how unprocessed experiences shape our bodies, relationships, and sense of self. Over time, I learned that healing isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about learning how to stay present with what’s actually happening — including the discomfort that lives somewhere between pain and happiness. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural extension of that understanding.

I’m especially drawn to working with people who feel worn down from trying to hold everything together. Many of the clients I hope to support are thoughtful, insightful, and self-aware, yet still struggling — often wondering why understanding alone hasn’t brought relief. In our work together, I focus on slowing things down, listening to the body, and creating space for honest connection rather than forced change.

My approach is calm, relational, and trauma-informed. I draw from mindfulness-based practices, Gestalt therapy, transpersonal and contemplative approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, narrative work, and expressive arts. I pay close attention not just to what’s said, but to what’s happening in the room, in the body, and in the quiet spaces between words. I’m not here to rush you or push toward solutions before you’re ready. Consent, presence, and curiosity guide the work.

I care deeply about creating spaces where rest is allowed, where pain doesn’t need to be justified, and where healing doesn’t mean overriding your limits. My hope is that people leave therapy feeling more like themselves — not a “better version” they’re supposed to become, but more connected to who they already are.

Outside of the therapy room, I love being in nature, making art, photography, writing, and spending unstructured days with my husband and our two dogs, Odin and Otter.
