Why This Workshop

Grief takes many forms. It may come with the loss of a loved one, the anticipation of losing someone dear, divorce, illness, job changes, or the quieter transitions that shift our sense of who we are. This 3-hour workshop offers a safe and supportive space to honor grief in all its expressions and to connect more deeply with yourself and others walking a similar path.

Together, We Will

  • Engage with poetry, journaling prompts, and shared reflections

  • Explore authentic movement and body-based practices, bearing witness to how grief lives in the body

  • Create visual art as a way of expression, release, and meaning-making

  • Close with group sharing, recognizing that “grief shared is grief reduced.”

Throughout, you’ll learn about the physical effects of grief and trauma, discover new ways to connect with your emotions, and honor both the before-and-after of loss — the lifelong waves of grief as well as the unexpected gifts it sometimes brings.

This gathering is not about “fixing” grief but creating a circle of support, creativity, and community where all emotions are welcome.
