Heart Stone Counseling offers bimonthly virtual mini-wellness workshops facilitated by Janet Steady, MS, RDN, LD, our in-house registered dietitian nutritionist.

These brief, accessible workshops are designed to support wellbeing through education, reflection, and practical guidance that can be easily integrated into daily life.

Workshops are offered on a pay-what-you-wish basis, with a suggested contribution of $10, to support broad access.

A 45-minute virtual mini-workshop

In this supportive and practical workshop, you’ll explore:

  • The connection between nutrition, mood, and the nervous system

  • How the gut–brain connection (and vagus nerve) influences mental health

  • Why irregular eating can lead to fatigue, irritability, anxiety, and late-day overeating

  • A practical, flexible framework for supporting both food and mood through ABC nourishment

Janet Steady, MS, RDN

Janet Steady, MS, RDN, LD is a registered dietitian nutritionist and Certified Mental Health & Nutrition Clinical Specialist at Heart Stone Counseling. Her work focuses on the intersection of nourishment, mental health, and compassionate care.

With decades of experience supporting people through eating disorder recovery, body image work, grief, and life transitions, Janet integrates nutrition science with mindfulness and relational support. Her approach is gentle, grounded, and practical—helping participants reconnect with nourishment, supportive rhythms, and self-trust in ways that feel sustainable and human.
